Oven is broken more than it works

We bought this oven because the salesperson at Lowes said LG was the best for the price. 6 months into owning it and the oven stops working right at Thanksgiving - wait 30 days for a part and they fixed it with a new board. 6 months later it stops working and they say it is a relay. Then the a couple months go by and the main board goes out again. Then when the oven stops working they realize it was becuase one of the wires were loose from the factory. Now it is acting like it did when the main board went out and will not heat up but tries to kick the elements on. Even after 5 problems with the oven in a couple of years they say it isnt a lemon. I think LG stands for Lemon Guaranteed and instead of dumping more money into this lemon I think I will by a different brand and start replacing all of my LG appliances. Stay clear from this range and LG support is not very supportive.

I really like this stove I love the quick heat burner for most things and I like the really large burner when making a family meal We have not been able to get the drawer to come out-followed instructions in manual and even called your help line. They couldnt help either. Other than that it has been good so far

Nice range but SO many problems

I loved this range when I first purchased it. It worked well beautiful interior and I loved the smooth top. But after a few years the oven started to be much slower with preheatingthen to throw an error code. Customer support is little to non existent so its up to the purchaser to get it fixed or try to diagnose what is wrong. Weve had to replace parts on our own only to have it start to act again months later. This LG range has definitely made me think more about my next range purchase and it will not be an LG.

When I was looking at new stoves this one stood out. It also hit what I was looking for convection oven along with the inside being blue was a big plus about it. Unfortunately a few months ago while cooking in the oven I pulled a sheet of cookies and notice an odd blue pieces on the tray. Further inspection I found the the enamel shattered and started falling apart on the top portion of the stove. I soon after went and did a Google search and found that this is a common issue but unlike mine its mostly on the bottom. I wish I read the reviews before getting this one. I still will buy their products in the future. Their warranty service with me was great.

POOR QUALITY CONTROL ON WIRING HARNESS

I PURCHASED ALMOST 2 YRS AGO FROM TODAY BUT I HAD QUIT WORKING BACK IN MARCH 2022. I DECIDED TO FIX IT MYSELF BECAUSE I WASNT PAYING 200 BUCKS FOR A SERVICE CALL. I HAD ALREADY REPLACE THE OVEN TEMPERTURE SENSOR AND I CHECKED THE ELEMENTS AND STILL DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM SO I FIGURED IT WAS THE MAIN POWER CONTROL BOARD SO AS I WAS TAKING THE BACK OFF AND GOT DOWN TO IT I NOTICED A BURNT WIRE RIGHT WHERE IT WAS CRIMPED AFTER INSPECTING IT FURTHER THERE WAS ONLY A TIP OF THE WIRE ABOUT 1/64 INTO THE CONNECTOR CRIMP SO I RESTRIPPED THE WIRE AND REUSED THE SAME CRIMP AFTER OPENING IT UP AND INSERTED AT LEAST 3/8 TO 1/2 IN OF WIRE INTO THE CONNECTOR AND CRIMPED IT AND PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER.. ITS BEEN WORKING BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT NEW AT LOWES. AND THE LG CALL CENTER TECH THATS IN MILAN OR THE PHILIPPINES COULD BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH AND KEPT TRYING TO SET ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR A SERVICE TECH TO COME LOOK AT IT. THE ONLY REASON I CALL THEM WAS TO ASK IF THE MODEL LRE3194ST /01 WAS CAPATABLE WITH EBR64624906 PART NO# MAIN POWER CONTROL BOARD. BUT SHE COULDNT ANSWER THAT.

I have had the same problem with the mother board twice within the last year and 1/2. I was told the part would be installed the Thursday before Christmas. The part never even came in although we were told it was in and they would be there on the Thursday. Got the run around when I called customer service. I will never buy a LG product again.

My son surprised me with this stove in 2020. I do not cook or bake everyday but it has already stopped working. The panel on top that shows on off oven temperature etc. stopped working. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty but that has been a nightmare. I contacted them 4 weeks ago and still dont have my stove fixed. It will be another week before they will be able to come fix it. My 2-year-old grandson and son and daughter-in-law live with us so they have really had to spend money on eating out. I am hoping it will get fixed without any issue next week and hopefully the stove will work for many more years.

Range currently broken

Range has had a problem from the beginning with the oven temperature decreasing by almost 100 degrees. About two weeks ago the range went totally out. Nothing works and still waiting on parts. Normally very happy with LG products.

Dangerous fire hazard

Last week when trying to preheat the oven to cook a frozen pizza. I noticed the oven was taking a longer than usual time to reach temp. I also noticed a strange smell. I figured that the oven had a few food bits on the bottom. after a hour and the oven still wasnt at temp I turned it off. I thought the bake element must have gone bad so I ordered a replacement. Today after the replacement element arrived and taking off the back covered I was horrified to discover that Range Oven Relay Control BoardLG EBR74164814 caught fire. Ive only have had it a few years and they only offer a 1 year warranty.

Over has trouble heating

At this time this range we bought in May 2020 takes 2 hours to preheat from room temp to 350. We have to give up before we can get it to 400. Sent an e-mail and working with reset and see how it works. If it does not have to take the next step to get service.

Self Clean ruined the stove

This stove was great until I used the self clean option for the 1st time. As soon as the process was done the oven wouldnt unlock and was giving us an F5 error. We tried all of the troubleshooting tips we could find and replaced parts but nothing works. Now since the oven is locked and stuck on self clean mode we cant use the stove at all and will be looking another one. This stove is only 2 years old.

Great stove when it works

We brought the oven 2 years ago and had to get it serviced twice. Very unusual for a brand new range. Additional warranty purchased but very difficult getting a reputable repair technician for repair services. Normally I stand by LG products because of their quality however we have had more issues with this oven than we have ever had with any LG appliances.

Nice Range but disappointed

My children bought this range as a christmas present a few years ago. It served me well but about 6 months ag i noticed it aking longer to heat. Then it did not want to reach a temperature of 450 degrees. Of course it would happen at the most inconvenient time thanksgiving. So its been a few months and i cannot find anyone to fix it. Granted it has rings now on the glass.. but its been used A couple weeks ago my oven quit but LG have been great about getting a service tech out here. We are waiting on parts now.

Very Disappointed

I have had this range 2 years. At first I loved this range I have been careful to keep it clean and it looks brand new on the outside. BUT open the oven door and a big spot on the oven floor size of my hand is no longer that deep blue color-- there is NO color. I dont know how this happened. I have never used the clean cycle and used the steam clean twice just to keep the inside looking great. LG says it is just cosmetic and wont fix it. Now I am stuck with an oven that may not cook evenly and what will happen to the bare metal over time with high heat? LG parts department says the touch up paint is no longer available. LG is not standing behind their product. I have since seen many reviews that the blue paint starts coming off.
